My first fic coming over will be Beautiful Soul. Still a favorite of mine, even though it is sickly sweet. It was my very first fic, the first that started spiral to where I have come today. Please bear with me as I transfer the story from my livejournal.

12:03 am - Come join...it will be fun

Voldermort is dead, killed by his own spell. The furious storm of terror, battle and domination had blasted one last shower of destruction on the grounds of Hogwarts. Those that knew only peace and battle had little conception of the what lies in wait after the storm. Known dangers have passed, but new plots and machinations rumble through the hallowed halls of now devastated institutions.
Who will raise to power in the voids left empty by death?
What new world will be built on the ruins of the old?
The storm is over, but reconstruction has just begun.

Post Tempesta is a post-Deathly Hallows Livejournal-based roleplaying game. It will be centered on the reformation, restructuring, and inherent political difficulties with the post-war Ministry of Magic - literally, it means "after the storm." PT will also follow the characters as they pursue their post-Hogwarts further education, careers, and of course, interpersonal relationships.
The post-war world is a difficult place, with lots of changes in society and the government. There have been heavy losses and the confusion of guilt or innocence has done little to bide the chaos. Low-level Death Eaters who are not seen as outwardly dangerous are participants in a manpower reparation program. Effort to reform the way the wizarding world deals with crime and rehabilitation of criminals has kept at bay waves of cross accusations from neighbors. And while those suspected have entered the magical work force, they're are closely surveyed for signs of corruption. Not everything is well - those loyal to Voldemort's ideology still meet in secret, and there are many who are still resistant to change operating within the Ministry. There are many who cling to tradition, putting their hopes to what's always been to live by.
Characters will not gather in perfect accord. Individuals will maneuver against each other to promote their own vision of wizarding Britain. Together we'll create the story of how our characters took the remnants of yesterday to build the destiny of tomorrow.

4:59 pm - How many hours later??
|
Well it is definately an adventure. Let's see, where to begin. Oh my flight was truly delayed, like an hour and a half. We got a new flight for Denver, which is now delayed. Yes, I mean that when I say now delayed. I'm still sitting in the airport at Huntsville. Granted, we did take a break and go out to eat. We aren't too far from my job, so we popped in there.
Security check the second time was very efficient. I was patted down, swiped with the wand, and then patted down again. I say it is because of Shawn's new little friend from American and her little attitude.
I'm going to rush away so I can sitand stare at the flight information saying delayed...

8:02 pm - Quick Trip in the works

Alrighty, I'm about to hop all over the country. My sis-in-law went and did the ticket searching. Her, Shawn, and me will be leaving tomorrow around 1:30, flying into Dulles/DC, then to Seattle, and then into Portland. We will go straight to the hospital and see Dale for a bit. His sister apparently thinks that we will be there for awhile, but sadly we won't. The next morning at 7:17 am we will hop on a plan to San fran, back to DC and then home. Can we say a REALLY long trip?
I talked to Dale today. He sounds pretty good, Very weak. He was coherent for most of the conversation and then he slipped and started slurring his words, the way mom did. My older brother isn't coming. He says he can't get off of work. He told me to call him from the hospital when we get there so he can talk to dale. He is getting the guilt syndrome from my dad. But you know what? Dale was there when my dad wasn't. I don't care. I'm going to see my father before he dies...prays he holds on until we get there.
slightly other news, we are back in the house. the floors are done except for my bedroom. We are still a bit mixed up on everything, but that is alright. We are nearly done. I'm off now to figure out what to pack for a 24 hour trip, if I even need clothes...

7:52 pm - I'm not taking calls at the moment, first and foremost

I just got off the phone with my step-dad. He is in the hospital, in Washington...an entire continent away...dying. He wanted me to call him just so he could tell me I'm going to get an inheritance.
He had surgery last year, and didn't tell us. He nearly died then. They didn't think he would make it. Apparently, this is a complication from that open-heart surgery. The cavity between his ribs and his lungs is filling with blood. It has been drained once, but began to fill up again. I don't know how long he has. I couldn't ask that question. All I could do was tell him I love him and how great the girls are doing (when he asked about them).

4:00 pm - Can't believe I forgot

Have I mentioned two new additions to the family yet? Well the first would be the ever lovable Lucifer aka Lucy. She is a blue Russian and sweet as she can be. Her and Luna are still learning how to get along. We got worried about her after the first night, she hid under the bed in the back bedroom and wouldn't come out. Since then, she comes out more, but when Luna pops in she hides.
The other member of the family is a sweet little bitty baby whose daddy is a bobtail. Granted, we wanted a bobtail, but this one had his daddy's markings. He is about 3 weeks old now and his name is Waldo. Yeah, I had nothing to do with his name. His daddy named him.
I shall have pics soon.

10:38 pm - So excited
|
Oh I'm so excited. I have finally gotten my long-awaited laptop. I'm so excited. He is so pretty. Yes, my laptop is a boy and not a girl. If Jesse can name his newest girlfriend after me, then my newest boyfriend can be all about him. He is so handsome too! Even better with the lovely software he came with. Granted, I'm sure he could have had this software from somewhere else as well, but Jesse doesn't know. It has a lovely cd burner that also burns the labels onto the cd. It is perfect for when we go on the road and he needs to burn cds, like he needed this past weekend.
Yeah, I guess I need to update a bit more. We went to the psychic fair in Kentucky. That was nice. It was great to get away from everything. So relaxing. Everyone loved his music, as always. He didn't take any cds with him though. I wanted to kick him, but I didn't.
Keirbear has her first two teeth! I'm so excited, they finally broke through. She is crawling like crazy, pulling herself up. Yesterday she stood up all by herself holding onto anything. It was so awesome!
Alibug is getting ready for 2nd grade. Can you believe it? I still can't. My baby is nearly 8!!! It just doesn't seem right!
The floors are finally being installed today and tomorrow. Thus a stay at the Residence Inn. The room isn't as nice as the last one, but I'm not going to complain. It is still a great place. We also have to paint the walls. We have the paint all ready. We just ran out of time to do it before the floors.
Oh well...I guess that is about all from me at the moment. I'm going to run and read the flist while Keira kicks my back...9 months on the inside, forever on the outside...
